Blush Coat Two Ways: Evening

A quality coat is a necessity if you plan on spending any time in the upcoming winter weather. Most people choose to get one in a neutral color (think black, grey, brown, navy) so that it can be worn with almost anything, and will last for years to come…but let’s face it.  Those are very boring colors.

This blush colored coat is a nice alternative to typical, dreary winter-wear colors.  It may not appear to be so at first glance, but this coat is neutral enough to match with a lot of colors.  It will also work for both day and night.  Here is an evening look that I’m kind of obsessed with:

Coat PHILOSOPHY DI ALBERTA FERRETTI

Top 3.1 PHILIP LIM

Skirt RAOUL

Shoes CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN

Earrings OLIVIA COLLINGS ANTIQUE JEWELRY

Ring LOW LUV BY ERIN WASSON

Bag VINTAGE CHANEL

The pink of the jacket is picked up by the lining of the shirt.  The bold purple maxi is both eye-catching, and a nice contrast to the neutral blush color.  Sometimes doing a bag in the same color as your jacket can be a good idea.  That way when the jacket is removed there is still a remnant of the color left in the outfit.

Here is a less expensive alternative from Top Shop that only costs $150 (which is not too bad for a good winter coat):

Check back tomorrow to see this jacket paired with a more casual look!
