A twist of color that is! I love adding bold pops of color in with more classic and simple outfits. It adds some much needed excitement to a look that could otherwise be boring. With fall clothes come a lot of different textures. I love mixing corduroy with a sweater. This one, made of rabbit fur, is particularly amazing.
When you want to go for a classic look you should definitely pull out the simple and timeless accessories. Diamond or pearl studs, a simple sleek watch and some basic bangles are usually a safe bet. The bag is also a classic shape, and clearly a trench coat adds an essence of timelessness to this look. The shoes add a modern pop. Metallics are very in right now and this shoe brings out the gold of the accessories in the outfit.
The trick to nailing a look like this is adding in a few bold pieces with your classic pieces to create a look that is timeless yet still fresh!

This look reminds me of a more organic, slightly toned down Rachel Zoe. I love a high waisted pant with a crop top. With a look like this you could either add a belt or not, but I personally wanted to keep it slightly more simple since there is so much fabulousness already going on here.
Fur and the 70s look are both very trendy right now. But when dressing in multiple trends, it’s imperative not to go overboard with the look. Keep it relatively simple or you can start to look costumey, especially when you’re referencing a certain era in your outfit.
Check back tomorrow for a more classic corduroy look.

I absolutely adore this dress, which Eva Mendes rocked at the Salvatore Ferragamo Women’s Resort 2012 show. The only thing I would have changed about her ensemble is the lack of color!
Adding a magenta/pinkish shoe and a pink ring bring some more fun to the outfit. Because the dress had shapes in the design (the rectangular color blocking) I thought I would play off of that in the accessories. They are all geometric in some way adding more cohesion to the look. These are two completely different looks, which just goes to show you what accessories can do for your wardrobe. They can literally reinvent a dress. Love this!
